Dr. Vicky Scott, a Board-Certified OB/GYN (ABOG) began practicing in Asheville in 1993. She had a vision of how a traditional medical practice could integrate many principles of lifestyle medicine, including whole food plant-based (WFPB) nutrition. After 20 years of practice in a large group, she established Asheville Gynecology & Wellness, a traditional Gynecology practice that includes a teaching kitchen built right into the office. She teaches classes in WFPB nutrition, and her team provide various services including acupuncture, programs in lifestyle change, and health coaching. Recognizing the importance of lifestyle on women's health, Dr. Scott obtained two additional board certifications in Integrative & Holistic Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine through the ABIHM and ACLM respectively. She is a certified facilitator of the Complete Health Improvement Program (CHIP) and a certified instructor of Food For Life. She remains current in her gynecology practice and has completed extensive training through the American Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology.
Dr. Scott is deeply committed to caring for women in Western North Carolina. She combines her devotion to conventional medicine with her knowledge of healing arts to empower others to live life more fully.
Dr. Summer Huntley-Dale is a nationally board certified Family Nurse Practitioner and a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society. She holds a doctorate in nursing and has done additional training in wellness and human potential through Apeiron.
Summer received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing, Master’s in Nursing Administration and Post Master’s Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate from Gardner-Webb University. She also holds a Doctorate in Philosophy of Science, Nursing, from University of Phoenix. Her research interest is epigenetics, nutrigenomics and health promotion behaviors. Summer concurrently works in nursing education and previously worked in acute and intensive care settings. She began her career as a registered nurse in the Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center in Spartanburg, SC. During her FNP rotations, she gained advanced practice experience in primary care and women’s health.
Through her experience in the critical care setting, Summer recognized the consequences of chronic illness and shifted her focus to disease prevention. She strives to emphasize the benefits of healthy choices and active lifestyle have in optimizing health for women from a holistic perspective. She actively listens and educates her patients to help them achieve their health goals. Her approach to women’s health care and attention to working in partnership with patients is in keeping with the philosophy of Asheville Gynecology & Wellness. Dr. Huntley-Dale is accepting new patients seeking gynecological services. She is eager to work with women interested in weight management and wellness. She incorporates genomic testing to help guide approaches more precisely to each patient’s individual needs.
Summer enjoys hiking in our beautiful mountains, trail running, and spending time with her husband, daughter and Great Dane, Moo.
Jan is a Nationally Board Certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner who has worked in the field of women’s health since 1996. Jan has worked in a variety of settings including labor and delivery, free standing birthing center, mother baby, maternal fetal medicine, private practice ob-gyn, family practice and one year of volunteer work in Honduras.
Jan strives to treat the whole person. She enjoys personalizing her care to help her patients feel their very best. Jan is known for integrating nonpharmacologic and pharmacologic therapies.
Outside of the office, Jan enjoys educating patients through her business Asheville Childbirth Education. Jan has lived in Asheville with her family since 2004. In her free time she enjoys her family, her dogs, hiking, trail running, mountain biking, stand up paddle boarding, audiobooks and live music.
Brooke attended Haywood Community College where she received a two-year Associates degree in Medical Assisting, a certificate in Medical Office Coding and also a certificate in Phlebotomy. Upon her graduation from HCC in 2010, Brooke started her career in the OB-GYN field and has been working as a CMA for 6 years. Brooke lives in Leicester with her husband Garrett, and sons Easton & Bentley. Brooke is committed to helping people and enjoys providing care for women in the community.
Natasha is a Licensed Acupuncturist in the states of New York and North Carolina. She is Board Certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is an active member of The Acupuncture Society of New York as well as the American Acupuncture Council.
She is a graduate from Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine in Montclair, NJ where she received a Master Diploma, completed over 2202.5 hours of training, over 500 hours of clinical work and graduated with honors. She is a general practitioner with special interests in pain management, anxiety disorders and women's health and has been in practice since 2009.
She practices a combination of Chinese and Japanese styles of acupuncture. Her treatments have a synergistic approach consisting of a combination of acupuncture, cupping, guasha, electro-acupuncture, massage, moxibustion and dietary approaches. Natasha has studied with renowned pioneer in Japanese acupuncture, Kiiko Matsumoto and continues her studies with highly regarded practitioners such as Giovanni Maciocia and Jeffrey Yuen.
Deb joined Asheville Gynecology & Wellness in late 2015. She brings a wealth of experience in managing medical offices having worked in the field for more than 40 years. Deb goes the extra mile to make sure patients' needs are met every step of the way. Whether she is making appointments, verifying benefits, or just keeping things running smoothly, her servant's heart is evident.
Beth FarlowBeth is a nationally board certified Health & Wellness Coach, yoga instructor and mindfulness meditation teacher and coach. Beth has worked in the healthcare and consulting field for 30+ years. As a director and later senior director, she has successfully led large divisions and teams in a corporate setting, primarily in healthcare. Beth has also been licensed as an emergency medical technician and worked in that capacity as a volunteer. She has also worked with cancer participants to incorporate yoga and mindfulness into their healing journey. Beth has performed executive and job+plus coaching since 2010, and currently provides executive coaching and health and wellness coaching to clients throughout the state. She teaches Hatha Yoga and leads mindfulness meditation groups. Beth's coaching philosophy relies on the wisdom that each of us already possesses regarding optimal health. She works with clients to unlock and realize their full potential for health and well-being.
Quinekwa (pronounced Q-nee-kwa) was born and raised in Hendersonville, NC. She has a heart for serving others that led her to the medical field. She attended South College and received her Medical Assistant Certificate in 2017. Quinekwa, who also goes by “Que”, is also proficient in managing the front office. She is dedicated to patient care and has an interest in the benefits of nutrition. We are delighted she joined the staff at Asheville Gynecology & Wellness.
Katy was born and raised in Asheville, NC and has a special interest in Women’s Health. She obtained a phlebotomy certificate, accredited by NAACLA from AB Tech, ASCP. She went on to complete the Medical Assisting program, CMA. Katy is diligent, kind, and careful in her work and Asheville Gynecology & Wellness is delighted that she chose to join our team.
Mindy is a woman of many talents. She is a certified Medical Assistant who is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in health information management. She devotes her many gifts to running the front office and goes the extra mile to assure your first contact with our office is a positive one. She is the proud mother of four children. After many years of devoted service to our nation, Mindy’s husband is retiring from the Marines in 2020. Mindy grew up in Hendersonville, NC and after years of travel with her husband and family she has returned to the area.
